Mangels and cabbage to doors. One of the indoor tricks is suspending an apple from the ceiling. Then the person is blindfolded and the person tries to catch the apple in his mouth. If he catches it he can have it for himself. Putting a sixpence in a basin of water and diving for it, is another trick.
Whoever gets it can have it for himself. Another trick is to get three saucers and put clay on one, a ring on the second, and water on the third. Then the person is blindfolder. If he touches the saucer with the clay it is said he will die soon. If he touches the saucer with the ring on it, it is said he will get married soon.
If he touches the saucer with the water on it, it is said he will cross the sea at an early date.
