    There are a great many old forts in Kingscourt district. The people say that there are fairies in the forts, and if you cut the bushes of a fort that the fairies will be after you, and you will never have any luck after that. If you cut a lone bush especially near a fort you will have bad luck.
    There are a great many old name's of forts in this district such as:
    The Gisabo fort.
    The round Daw fort.
    Kenny's fort and a great many others.
