- This is the way "boxty" is made, - The potatoes are mashed and the water is (presed) pressed out of them. Then they are mixed with flour and baked in an oven like bread.
- In farmers house oaten bread is baked by putting the wet meal standing against a griddle in front of the fire. It is tuned from one position to another until it is crisp. It is them cooled and eaten.
