  1. I heard a story a few nights ago from my mother about a man who was drowned in Lough Ramor lake which is near my home. His name was Robert Taylor and he was an uncle of the present Marquis. He was very fond of being out shooting and skating on the ice. One day he was out skating on the lake when the ice was thick and hard. Suddenly he came to a spring-hole and the ice broke, and he went to the bottom and was seen no more. People tried to get his body but failed in doing so.
