    If a stranger comes in during the churning he or she is supposed to take a brash. If not they bring the butter off the milk. It is also said that the butter could be taken off the churn by witchery.

    There are alot of sayings connected with certain days. Friday is supposed to be lucky, and also unlucky. It is lucky to start sowing oats or any other crop, or changing of residence on that day. It is also said that it is unlucky
