  1. Once when Ireland was under wood and bog there was a wood where John Mc Cabe's house now stands. Well, this day there was a fair somewhere about Scrabby. As you would guess there was a tinker at this fair.
    He went early in the morning but as early as he went, who was there but his friend the tailor. The tailor had a bullock in it to sell He was selling the animal when he saw the tinker. Then it was not long until the bullock was sold, because the tinker made bargain.
    The tailor got a good price for his animal and when he got his money; the two proud men went into a public house. Like many men when they get the taste of drink they do
