- The people of nowadays do not believe in fairies but in our forefathers time fairies were very numerous.
Long ago Mrs Martin of Kevitt and her daughter were coming of the half-past six train when they were coming to a spot known as the "Big Chestnut" they saw a band of fairies playing around a whin.
Just awhile before Christmas Mary Martin was going to bed when she noticed a light in the same spot, a man named James Sheridan was passing by and she called him, they watched it and it went through it and it went through, Lord's field on to Rourk's, and on through Burrowe's wood.
