  1. Lismore Castle which is situated at Crossdoney belonged to Michael O'Reilly commonly known as Myles the Slasher it was in the residence of the Nesbitts.
    Flemmings Folly. It was built by a man named Flemming about three hundred years ago, with the hopes of seeing his ships on the ocean, when it was several storeys high, he fell off it and was killed. The mortar which built it was mixed with bullucks blood.
    Lough Oughter. It is situated on an island in the middle of the water at Killakeen. It was the residence of a brave Irish hero named Owen
