  1. There are many historic stories attached to Mc Guire's Tower. Here is one which I heard recently.
    Mass was read in the penal days where the tower is situated. On one particular Sunday as the people were coming out from mass the soldiers surrounded them and killed them. The old people tell you that the stones around the tower mark the graves of these people. The soldiers came on them unawares.
    These peoples souls went straight to heaven because they they gave their life for their faith.
    Mc Guire's Tower is situated in a romantic historic unique picturesque spot.
    What a beautiful thing it is to stand there and gaze down on the beautiful panorama below you.
