    to do. She assured him that, if she got back, she would live in the barn and would not cause him or his new wife any trouble. She said that on a certain night she would be riding on horseback along with the fairies on the Lavey Road, that she would be the last person in the rear and that she would cross the Corawillan Bridge on the Lavey Road at a certain time. She told him to be at that bridge at the appointed time and seize her as she passed. If he did so, the influence that the fairies had over her would be destroyed and he could take her home.
    Unfortunately, Smith was afraid to do as he was requested and the poor woman remained with the fairies.
