    The following prayer was taught by the old people in this district to their children about eighty years ago. It is as follows:-
    the lord with the branch, and the Lady with the flower,
    May they be with me at my dying hour.
    In honour of the Five bleeding wounds received upon the Tree,
    O Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.
    The following prayer was recited at night:-
    Heart of Jesus, I adore;
    Heart of Mary, I implore;
    Heart of Joseph, pure and just;
    In these three hearts I put my trust.
