    In this district the cures for the whooping cough are many and varied. The following cure has been recorded as he most successful. If a man got married to a woman who had not to change her name this woman has the cure for the fore-mentioned disease.
    Perhaps the most severe bodily defect that a person could suffer is a sore throat. This occurs very often especially among children. In this locally roasted sat is put in a silken stocking and it is tied around the suffer's neck. This is supposed to cure the throat in a short time.
