  1. The straw boys go to a house where there was a marriage looking for money and porter.
They dress up in straw that is why they are called straw boys.
Some people give them money and some give them porter.
If you give them nothing they generally do damage.
At night they all collect to a Public House and get drink for the money.
If they get into a house it is hard to get them out. They take out the bridegroom's cart and trap and tie them to the door.
The take the gates of the fields.
When the man gets up he has to get out the window the next morning to open the door and take away the cart an trap. The man spends his day putting on the gates.
