  1. There are fairy forts in the District. They are called forts. There is a fort in Reheg, and another up in Cross forts. They are within view of one another. Some of them are circular. There is a fence of trees round each. There are stories attached to these forts. People have heard sounds of churning in the forts , and lights have often been seen in them. Some people say fairies used to live in them. The Danes are supposed to have built them.
