- (continued from previous page)or candle. The light they used to have were rush candles or sometimes they would have a good fire for light.
- There is supposed to have been a castle in the townland of Lisnashanna in the parish of Castleterra, in the Barony of Upper Loughtee.
There are no ruins, but the marks of the foundation stones are to be seen, and bits of brick walls have been found on the site, when people were digging.
The old avenue leading up to the Castle is still to be seen. There are cherry trees and holly trees on both sides of the avenue.
People in the district dont know the name of (the) those who lived in the castle.
