    Many travelling folk call at our house. They sell lace oilcloth laces pins gallons porringers and flowers. We bought oilcloth from them. They sleep in camps along the road. We gave them flour bacon tea and sugar. They travel by foot. They travel in families. They brings us news or stories. They come a couple of times a year and stays about three nights.
