  1. The oldest road in this district goes from the Drung road to Lislea. It is called Crablane. It was made during the famine times. The government got it made to give the poor employment. It was made under the Public Works scheme. The men who worked on the road were paid three shillings a week.
    Before Killmacnoran bridge was built the people crossed the river on plank. They brought their cattle and horses across in a boat.
