    This song is about a man called Michael Maguire who live in the townland of Legnagrow. He went to America and got home-sick and this is the song he made about himself.

    As I sat down on deep meditation,
    Contemplating with troubled mind,
    With heavy sighs I have sometimes breathed,
    My heart a breaking here in vile.
    Sometimes sick and daily fading,
    Who to complain to, I do not know,
    But I wish myself in the land of Erin.
    With my kind relations in Legnagrow.

    I thought unto me appeared
    Said I sweet youth are you going to leave,
    Will you forsake me, oh can it be.
    sure every blossom gets it's proper seasoning.
    Before it fades or begins to fall.
    Save every youth and I should not
