  2. A Well
In Ballygobbin, near Aughavannagh there is a bog where the local people used cut their turf. Near some of the turf banks is a well which even in the driest weather does not dry up and the water is always cool.
I have heard it said that a drink of the water would keep off the hunger for a whole day.
This well is sometimes called St. Gobbin's Well.
Now the bog belongs to the Forestry Department.
