    The Apple Tree in Redna:
Mr. Doyle, told me a story about an apple tree which grows in Redna Wood. It is said that a man hanged himself from that tree. Every Autumn there are always five finger marks placed close together in each apple.
Last Autumn I went up to the apple tree to look at them. The apples are not very big they are green and hard and bitter. Every year it is covered with apples.
