    Throughout that dark and dismal night his body there did lie
    Unseen by travelling persons that happened to pass by.
    Till early the next morning a man from Trooperstown
    Proceeding to St. Kevin's church his lifeless body found.

    It would melt your heart with pity that morning to behold.
    His body by the road side lifeless, stiff. and cold.
    Cut down all in his youth and bloom at the age of twice twelve year
    Before the Judgment seat of God unshriven to appear.

    With his broken-hearted mother we all would sympathise
    To hear the sad fate of her son it was a cruel surprise.
