  1. Fionn Mac Cumhal was a great giant he was the bravest of all the heroes.
    He was supposed to have thrown a stone from a field called Stoney's field and the mark of his hand is on it.
    The stone is still to be seen at Moneystown bridge. There is a giant's grave in Parkmore in "Mernagh's field" and a giant was supposed to be buried there.
    No giants ever lived around this district nor any old women such as witches.
    My father Edward McHugh, Trooperstown, Rathdrum. Co. Wicklow told me this story on the 26th..6..1938.
