  1. There is a fort or Ráithin around this place in "Mr. Doyles" field and there is another one in Mr. Thomas Byrne's field; you can view one Ráithin from the other.
    The one in "Doyles" field is like the shape of a V there is a small ditch and very old black thorn trees around it. There is a hole in it and people used to dig there looking for money long ago but they never got anything.
    It was said in olden times that a light used to go from one Ráithin to the other.
    My father Edward McHugh told me this story on the 9.2.1938.
