  1. Four corners on my bed, four Angels on my spread, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John God bless the bed that I lie on, if I die before I wake I pray to God my soul to take, any evil troubles me, our blessed Lady waken me, and when I go to bed I hope to sleep for God knows will I rise. May the Lord defend and protect me and from me not take his eyes.
Five bleeding wounds are nailed to a tree
O merciful Jesus have mercy on me.
God grant the light of heaven on all the poor souls on the last day.
When people are working during the day people say; Jesus Mary and Joseph make me stronger every day. Before they get in to bed at night they say "Lord give me a good night's rest."
This prayer is said in the morning.
" O my Jesus meek and mild,
Let me be your little child.
Let me till the day is done,
    Every sinful danger shun."
