There are not very many prayers known now...

There are not very many prayers known now as they are nearly all in books.
This is a prayer to be said when entering a church.
    Sprinkle me Lord with hysop
Wash me and I will be made whiter then snow.
This prayer should be said before going to bed.
    O Angel of God
    My Guardian dear
To whom His love commits me here
Ever this night be at my side
    To light and guard
    To rule and guide. Amen.
Most people say the Rosary at night before retiring.
That is a lovely prayer, it is an old Irish tradition and one of the loveliest of prayers to be said
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
