  1. My father was coming home one night late and he had to pass the Court-house in Tullow, three miles from home. On passing the Court-house gate, he looked into the yard where he saw a big black dog and it had two red shining balls of fire in its head. He got afraid.
    In a week's time he met the same dog in the street late one night, he was told afterwards that this same dog had followed three men and killed them from fright.
    My father was twenty years of age when this happened. He is now over fifty.
