    Dr Byrne is said to have lived whilst in hiding, in a house belonging to Mr. Magee of Ballybrack, Borris. This house is now used as a stable and storage loft by Mr. Magee, and is opposite his present dweling house.
    The family of Dr. Byrne are said to have lived in the house now occupied by Mr. Joyce of Lacken, situated on the Borris to Killedmond road.
    Dr. Byrne was finnaly betrayed by a "priest hunter" named Doyle none of whose relations now survive.
    Dr. Byrne is said to have been buried in the Graveyard of Kiltennal now belonging to the Protestant Church of that name.
