There are a lot of Lis' about 7 there were forts in all places, viz. Lismacrory, Lisadona, Lismalin etc. I have a fort on my own land where battles were fought.
There is a holy well in Ivy Hall known as St. Francis' well. St. Francis is the patron Saint of Carrig. There is also a hill + tree growing on it where mass was celebrated on Penal days also in Ivy hall. There is a wind mill in Carrig where corn used to be ground + also a Corn mill. There was a monastery in Kilmurray. It is prayed for in Rome. St. Patrick spent many days there. The marks of his knees are to be found there, also a tree where he laid his head in. Any person suffering from a bad headache would be cured if they went there + put or laid their head in this tree.
