  1. Many boys can make a pop-gun from an elder stick. First they cut a fairly thick elder stick and bore a hole down the centre of it. The hole must be straight and the same breadth at both ends or else the bullet will not pass through. The bullet can be made from a turnip or from paper. A bullet is placed at each end. Then the get a stick and push one of the bullets down the hole. This causes pressure of air and the air blows out the other bullet.
