    When a man is going to build a house he should turn a sod at the four corners of the site, and if they are turned back next morning he should not build his house there.

    When a person is talking of fairies he should say "God speed them."
    It is lucky to find a horse shoe
    When a person is setting eggs, a horse-shoe should be put under the hen to save the chickens from thunder and lightning.
    A person should never look at the moon through trees or glass.
