  1. The stables.
    The stables have places for oats and hay, and the horses are put in at night in bad weather. The stables are white washed and have big windows.
    The hood.
    Horses are given oats, hay, grass and water. Poor farmers used to get give their horses whins for food.
    They gathered they young shoots and pounded them on a flat stone. Horses throve on this food.
    What you say when Driving.
    When you him to stop you say "whoe" or "high" and when you want him to go on you say "Ge up"
    Stories.
    There is a local story regarding St. Brigid. and it runs like this. On her way to Hildare she passed through Edenderry with her favorite horse drawing her chariot. There is a road called St. Brigid's Road, this was the road she is supposed to have driven along
