    Weather Lore.
    Sky. The sky is grey in the early morning betokens fine weather.
    The sky red at sunset also foretells fine weather,
    "The evening red and the morning grey.
    Heads the traveller on his way.
    The morning red and the evening grey
    The traveller in his bed may stay."
    A yellow or orange sunset foretells rain.
    Dark clouds a little above the horizon foretells storm.
    A halo round the moon foretells rain.
    The wind from the south brings rain.
    The wind from the west fine weather.
    The wind from the north-east brings snow.
    The wind from the east cold dry weather.
    Animals.
    When sheep stop feeding and gather to-gether wet weather is coming.
    When goats come down from the hills stormy and rainy weather may be looked for.
