When the cat sits with its back to the fire it is a sign of hard weather.
When rooks return to their nests early a storm is coming
When swallows fly low it is a sign of rain.
When sea-birds are seen here it is a sure sign of storm.
When the mountains are clearly seen rain is coming.
When there is a haze over the mountains fine weather is to be expected.
If the cattle move out of shelter on a very wet day and begin to graze the rain will soon stop.
