    Marriage Customs -
    There is no special time within which marriages take place in this locality but there is normally a rush on before Lent and Advent.
    The 'ladies' have a special fancy too to be 'June Brides.'
    With regard to the days it is believed -
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
    Saturday no day at all.
    With regard to the dress worn by the bride, it is said -
    Married in blue, she is bound to be true
    Married in white, she will surely fight.
    Married in brown, she will live near a town
    Married in grey, she will live far away
    Married in yellow, she will be ashamed of the fellow.
    Married in black, she will wish her self back.
    It is also recommended to have on the wedding day - 'Something
