Mat Tyrell, Rossard, who lives near us told the following. This is a true story
A new Civic guard had come to Killane and there were men stealing potatoes around The new guard went out and saw a man getting potatoes. he brought him to the barracks and the man said to the sergeant "You never had as Good a man as this he carried the potatoes to you" The man had been digg-ing the potatoes for the Barracks.
