Jeremiah Morrissey (Father of J. Morrissey, Ryland Rd.) baker was coming from Clonegal, Co. Carlow, and met carriage coming out of Castle Field (Castle was there of old) about half a mile north of Bunclody. The carriage was loaded. There was hamming going on. Black dog is supposed to guard treasure there. The black dog was seen by Thomas Bond every time he went by that place.
