  1. A prayer said when going to bed at night
    Now I lay me down to sleep,
    To God I give my soul to keep,
    And if I die before I wake
    To God I give my soul to take.
    Sleep now, Sleep never,
    To God I give my soul forever.
    There are four corners on my bed
    Four holy angels round it spread,
    St. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
    God bless this bed that I lie on.
    Oh my Jesus, I know that I have to die,
    But I know not where, when or how
    But if I die in mortal sin,
    I am lost forever
    Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on me and forgive
    me all my sins. Amen.
    The following prayer is said when passing a Crucifix.
    Oh Lord my God by sufferings rent,
    Nailed to a cross my love to gain,
    Grant through my cross when life is spent
    In death Thy Mercy I obtain.

    May all the words that I speak be so
    many arrows dipped in the Blood of Thy
