  1. In our parents time the people used many old customs. Very few of these customs are recalled.
    This is an old custom which they believe, that on "May day" they wouldn't sell anything, such as butter, eggs, and milk. Around our place the farmers wouldn't sell anything.
    Another custom is that in a place where cows are, the people would not let anyone kill a swallow.
    If they did, it is said the cows would milk red blood.
