One time about thirty years ago a horse-dealer at the fair of Enniscorthy was paying for a horse. After paying out he left his money behind him on a ditch and went away to catch the mail train. When he got to his destination he missed his money. He returned next day and and found it where he had left it. He went to the nearest pub and got drunk and so on the next court day day he was 40/= or a month for being drunk.
