  1. Wexford was betrayed by a man named Stafford. The Cromwellian soldiers gave Stafford money and when he let them in, they went to the Bull Ring where the people were praying.
    He went from that to the Friary Church and there butchered the priests, who at the time were hearing Confession
    He + his soldiers turned the Church into a stable for their horses.
    They also killed the Nuns, by putting pitch-caps on their heads and by putting them into spiked- barrels -setting them o fire and letting them roll down the hill of Cornmarket.
    It is said that there was a big building in Church -Lane
