    weapons and could not fight in the big battles. He lived in a cave in Carrig which is called "Billy the Bull's" cave. If any English soldier lost his way, Billy would be waiting for him.
    One day he caught an English officer and he saw that the man was carrying papers. Billy killed him and took the papers to Fr. Murphy. He then asked for a pike. He got this and went back to his cave. Next morning when Billy awoke, he found that his pike was gone. He started searching for it, but it could not be found. He went along the river and found the handle of the pike. He kept on searching but could not find the head. At length he gave it up and went back to the cave and began thinking about the pike head.
