    on long voyages to foreign countries. Every Saturday night she lighted two candles to the Blessed Virgins Altar for her Son's safety.
    One Saturday night her son was at sea and a storm came on and the ship was wrecked. The widow's son was swishing across the deck to reach the life boat when he saw the Blessed Virgin and two lighted candles before her.
    He suddenly stopped and turned back to the other side. Just before he reached that side, the ship broke exactly where he had seen the vision. Only for his mother's candles he would have been lost that night.
