  1. I live in the townland of Ballyduffy in the Parish of Dromard and in the Barony of Granard.
    There are twenty eight families in this townland and approximately one hundred and fifteen people. The family name most common is Kiernan as there are four families of this name. There are three families of the name Reilly
    There are nine slated houses in this townland and the rest are thatched. Five of these houses were reconstructed during the past few years. At one house a new room was built. At three other houses new sculleries were built and in the other larger windows were put .
    Long ago many families of Duffys resided in this townland. That is how it got its name.
    There were many more houses in this district formerly. At the foot of Andrew
