    to the door. He jumped on the 'hurl'. It was the woman's two sons who came in. They had a sheep to kill. One of the sons asked for a knife to kill the sheep. "It is on the hurl" said the old woman. In comes one of the sons to get the knife. When he looked up he saw a big hole on the top of the hurl on which the man went out. Out went the two sons after him. He ran and ran until he came to a wide river which was full of muck. He tried to jump across. He counted one, two, three in his own mind and then jumped but it was into the river. He tries to plunge out and succeeded. There were heaps of hay in a field close by. He lifted up the top of one of the heaps of hay. He found a dead man lying in the heap with a black suit of clothes. He took off the suit
