barking. The horse began to frighten and would not go by the fort. The priest became afraid and went back for Owny Gavigan. He came up with the priest and led the horse by the fort. The dog was still barking. He left the priest up as far as the dam and returned home and when he was coming he shouted at the dog and he stopped barking.
