  1. Long ago there was a little thatched house along the side of the road and an old man named Brian Martin lived there. When he was about one hundred years he died. Some time after his death a man was unroofing the house and he found a pike hidden in the thatch. It was about two feet long and had no handle. This was supposed to be used by the old man while fighting during the land war in Drumlish. The workman stuck it in a ditch and it has been often looked for since but could not be found.
