- Long ago there lived at Moyne Cross-roads a Blacksmith who always used to shoe the Parish Priests horse. It happened that the priest got his horse clipped and his tail cut short, and the next time he went to get him shod the Blacksmith did not know him and said, "I see you got a new horse Father." Indeed I did Phil and paid a good price for him too. "He's a beauty God Bless him" but bad luck to the last man that shod him, he did not know much about shoeing horses.
