    were cured. Another favourite dish of theirs was boxty loaf. This was made from some boiled potatoes which they mashed up. Then they mixed it up with some flour and salt. Then they put it in an oven to bake and they put bacon under and over it. This was a very heavy meal. When it got cold it was put on a griddle to warm. The boxty pancake was another favourite of theirs. They also made potato cake. In those days the people never had teeth-aches and they brought fine sets of teeth to the grave with them.
