    landlord for Abbeyshrule and Clonbrin district and a "Tyrant of Tyrants". It is told how she invited a party of friends that night to celebrate the occasion. Another priest was hung at Barnstown he had relations in this parish. Their names were Hamasheens from Ballintober, none of their descendants are to be had now. But we were able to find their headstone in Togshinod graveyard. It dates back to 1780. The priest that was hung at Barnstown was left on the gibbet all night and some young fellows stole in and took away the body. It is told that their tracks through the fields are still to be seen.
    Lord Annelly, as well as being a persecutor of the Catholics led a fast life and he kept a private house at Colehill where foreign ladies resorted. The Doctor's house is built on the track of it now and it is said there is a curse there as
