  1. Mrs Bertles has a cure for scurvy. The cure is pink ointment and it is rubbed on the skin where the scurvy is. The cure was in the Ennis family. Mrs Bertles has this cure because she was Ennis before she married. The Dooner family has this cure also.
    If you burn yourself with a nettle rub a dock leaf on it and that will cure it. Boiled milk and pepper is a cure for a pain in your stomach. When you cut up onions and drink the juice ; it is a cure for a cold.
    Ivy leaves steeped in hot water is a cure for corns. Boiled butter-milk is another cure for a cold.
